Sophie Black goes Absolut Bloody.

A limited edition collectible conceived from my collaboration with Absolut Vodka, to honour the classic cocktail Bloody Mary with its premium quality to bring about the brand promise of “IN AN ABSOLUT WORLD, Every Drink is an Exceptional Experience”. Playing on the well-known Bloody Mary legend, my design of this multifaceted handheld mirror reflects my fascinations with dark, quirky, mysterious yet beautiful essences exuded by both Bloody Mary and Sophie Black.

Sophie Black

I adore people and things that are in harmonious contradictions, the same way I appreciate black and white. Sophie Black is the epitome of such paradox. She is my alter ego in a pseudo reality and an expression of every girl's macabre and conflicting self. She appears to be mischievous, strange, bewitching and sinister but when told about her appearance, she blushes and giggles like a child full of glee. Her long black hair expresses her wildest ideas, her extended eyelashes reveals her desire, and her pale skin reflects her unpretentiousness. She has a few beloved friends: Little Black Tress, who rests upon her head, is the only one who understands her weirdest thoughts; Ms Crow, who couldn't agree more with her the fact that black is, and always will be, the new black; Ms Owl, whom she stargazes with and peers into a world far and beyond; Mr Inkyfish, who likes swaying in the water with her; And last but not least, Ms Bear, who, like Sophie Black, is extremely shy to strangers.
